Saturday marked the second time that firefighters with the Bradenville-based township fire department have used the pet oxygen masks to treat smoke inhalation.
After the Browns were removed from the apartment, firefighters were doing a secondary search when firefighter Daniel Tufts spotted a cat, barely alive. He, along with firefighter Adam Gatti, grabbed a special Pet Oxygen Kit that contains special masks for animals.
Saxten is owner of the Invisible Fence Brand of Western Montana pet containment company, which works through its national Pet Oxygen Mask Donation Program to outfit fire trucks and first responders throughout the country with specialized oxygen mask kits for pets.

Fire officials said Bosco was in the living room where the fire started. Barringer said the dog was lying inside a crate, and he carried both dog and crate outside.
